Our Story
We have experienced firsthand how difficult, frustrating, and exhausting the online job search can be. You end up using 5+ apps, wasting time, and wondering “Haven’t I already applied to this one?” The problem is most job search apps are not designed with the job seeker in mind. That’s how MyJobAngel is different: we work for you!
We started with a blank slate and asked:
1. What are the challenges that you face when looking for jobs online?
2. How would you improve the process if you could?
Then we went to work and designed MyJobAngel to serve you, the job seeker. Our goal is to make the process stress-free so you can spend more time applying and less time searching. You deserve to find fulfilling and financially rewarding work, wherever you are.

Lalo Mantilla
Founder & CEO
Lalo is originally from Peru where he studied Business Management at the University of Lima. He has spent 15+ years developing successful applications at a global scale. Lalo is fascinated with technology and its potential for improving the human condition. He enjoys designing applications and seeing how they improve the users' lives. Lalo especially likes mentoring and developing new talent. His other passions are photography, aviation and motorcycles.
Susan D. Groveman
Chief Marketing Adviser
Susan Groveman is Executive Director, Marketing and Community Relations at Taft College. As Public Information Officer for City of South Pasadena, Susan contributed to an optimized local government experience. As Executive Director of Anderson MarCom, Inc., a marketing and public relations agency, she served 25 clients over 16 years. Susan earned an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois. She is a Wharton-certified Digital Marketing Professional.
Cal Steinberg
Chief Financial Adviser
Cal Steinberg has extensive experience in both Corporate and individual businesses with a focus on business and personal planning. He has worked for two Fortune 500 conglomerates (GE and Rockwell International) over a 34 year career and held senior management positions in operations, marketing, finance, business planning and business development. Following a successful corporate career, Cal started a financial investment and advisory service business, serving individual and small business clients for the following 17 years prior to his retirement.
Rusty Taragan
Chief Operations Adviser
Rusty Taragan is a seasoned business executive with experience in the information services and internet industries. He began his career at Nielsen Media Research rising to the level of EVP of Marketing, and eventually General Manager of Local Services. During his career at NetZero he held many positions including President of the Communications Segment and President of MyPoints. After initially retiring, he was hired by B Riley Financial to help them in their proposed acquisition of United Online. Upon culmination of the acquisition, Taragan was hired as the CEO of United Online. Rusty serves as a volunteer mentor for SCORE, working with small businesses throughout the Los Angeles area.
