Our story

Built by a parent who got frustrated enough to do something about it

A few years ago, I watched my kids struggle. They were recent college graduates — smart, motivated, ready to work — and they were getting crushed by the job search. Not because the jobs weren't out there, but because the tools designed to help them find those jobs were making the process harder, not easier.

Five apps open at once. Listings they'd already seen. No way to track what they'd applied to, what was worth pursuing, what they could safely ignore. The whole experience was designed around the job boards' needs — not the job seeker's.

I kept thinking: I know how to build software. I've been doing it for over 15 years. I can do better than this.

So I did. I went back to basics — asked people in our network two simple questions: What's actually broken about the online job search? And how would you fix it if you could? Then I built MyJobAngel around their answers.

The core idea is simple: stop overwhelming people. Show one job at a time, force a decision, and help you build a focused pipeline of roles you actually want to pursue. No noise. No duplication. No wondering if you've already seen this one.

My kids are all working now. And so is MyJobAngel — for job seekers who deserve a better tool than what they've been given.

Our Philosophy

A few things done really well

Honesty first

We tell you what we are and what we're not. A focused job search tool — not a job board, not a career platform.

Simple by design

Every feature we add has to earn its place. Complexity is the enemy of a tool people actually use every day.

Users as co-designers

Our roadmap is shaped by the people using the app. If something's broken or missing, we want to hear about it.
